You’ll work with a manageable caseload of approximately 50 students, delivering direct services and collaborating with educators to promote student success.
What You’ll Need:
- Current State Speech-Language Pathologist license (SLP)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- State educator certification or eligibility for certification
- Previous experience in school-based settings, especially with elementary-aged children, preferred
- Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills
- Creativity and adaptability in developing treatment plans and instructional materials
How You’ll Make a Difference:
- Conduct speech and language assessments for elementary students
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Deliver evidence-based therapy—both one-on-one and in groups—to support speech, language, and communication development
- Maintain thorough, up-to-date documentation in accordance with district/state requirements
- Work closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to track student progress and adjust approaches
- Educate and provide resources to school staff and families regarding language development and strategies for support
