Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting high school students in a specialized program designed for those with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and other learning differences. This supportive environment emphasizes skill-building for independence outside of traditional classroom settings. The assignment is based in Ludlow, MA, within a collaborative program housed at a local high school, and runs from late August 2026 through late June 2027 (exact calendar dates pending release). Work approximately 32.5 hours per week while serving as an integral part of a dedicated educational team.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Current or pending Speech-Language Pathologist licensure in accordance with state requirements
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
  • Experience in school-based SLP roles, ideally in high school settings
  • Familiarity with students who have ASD or similar learning differences strongly preferred
  • Previous supervision of SLPAs a plus
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with educational staff, families, and support professionals

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver speech-language therapy services to a designated high school caseload
  • Supervise and mentor an SLPA within the specialized Compass High Program
  • Design individualized intervention plans focused on communication, social skills, and independent living skills
  • Monitor student progress, maintain relevant documentation, and participate in IEP meetings
  • Engage in ongoing communication with staff and families to promote student success
  • Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and nurturing educational environment
