School-Based SLP | Chicopee, Massachusetts
A Speech-Language Pathologist is needed for a contract position supporting a specialized high school program serving students with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and other learning differences. This role focuses on delivering AAC services within a personalized, supportive educational setting aimed at building skills for greater independence.
Location: Ludlow, MA
Duration: July 6, 2026 – August 7, 2026, with potential extension for the 2026/27 school year
Schedule: 15-20 hours per week, 2-3 days per week
Setting: Compass High Program at Ludlow High School, a specialized environment tailored for high school students needing alternative educational approaches
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) support and therapy services to high school students
- Collaborate with educational staff to tailor speech-language goals aligned with each student’s needs
- Implement therapy plans that promote communication and independence in students with ASD and learning differences
- Document progress and maintain compliance with state requirements
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid state licensure meeting all relevant requirements for practicing as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a school setting
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology preferred
- Experience working with high school students, particularly those with Autism Spectrum Disorders or similar challenges
- Prior experience providing AAC services, though AAC evaluations are not required
