School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Spencerport, New York

Role A focuses on working with elementary-aged children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, located at an elementary campus. Role B involves supporting high school students with intellectual disabilities at a junior/senior high setting. Both roles embrace the mission of nurturing communication abilities and maximizing each student’s potential in a caring, inclusive environment.
What we’re looking for:
- Valid SLP license and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required
- Previous experience in school-based settings preferred
- Experience with ASD or intellectual disabilities strongly desired
- Ability to adapt speech/language interventions to individual student needs
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with multidisciplinary teams
- Passion for facilitating student growth and development
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language services individually and in group settings
- Conduct screenings, assessments, and create individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
- Consult with teachers, families, and other specialists to support student success
- Attend team meetings and participate in ongoing professional development
