Travel Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Spartanburg, SC
This opportunity offers a rewarding role for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) passionate about supporting students with complex communication needs. The position is based onsite in Spartanburg, SC, at a specialized school providing comprehensive services to students with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disabilities, Cerebral Palsy, Rett Syndrome, and other significant developmental and medical diagnoses.
Responsibilities include delivering individualized, multimodal communication interventions, often utilizing Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) strategies tailored to each student's unique needs. You will be part of a collaborative, experienced team of seven SLPs, working closely with professionals across disciplines including Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Teachers of the Visually Impaired, and Board Certified Behavior Analysts.
Key aspects of the role:
- Provide speech-language pathology services in a 3:1 service model workload
- Focus exclusively on SLP duties; no case management or additional school responsibilities
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team committed to student-centered care
- Engage in a supportive environment ideal for growing AAC and specialized communication skills
- Serve students with a range of complex diagnoses requiring tailored communication approaches
Qualifications and experience:
- Valid SLP license and Educator certification required
- Experience or interest in AAC is beneficial but not mandatory for candidates eager to learn
