School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Chesnee, South Carolina
Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students with significant communication needs as a Speech-Language Pathologist in an onsite, contract role. This enriching opportunity provides the chance to support learners facing challenges such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disabilities, Cerebral Palsy, Rett Syndrome, and other complex developmental or medical diagnoses. The role is well-suited for SLPs with an interest in augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) and a desire to develop specialized clinical skills in a supportive, multidisciplinary setting.
You’ll be a vital part of a dedicated team working collaboratively with experienced professionals, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, teachers for the visually impaired, and board-certified behavior analysts. Our service delivery model emphasizes a 3:1 workload approach to ensure balanced and focused therapy, and SLPs are never required to manage cases or take on general school duties.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology license and Educator certification required
- Clinical Certificate of Competence (CCC) preferred
- Prior experience with school-aged children and diverse disabilities
- AAC experience is a plus, but candidates eager to learn will be considered
- Commitment to working onsite with a collaborative approach
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and deliver individualized speech-language therapy for students with varying and complex needs
- Implement multimodal communication strategies, including AAC
- Work closely with an interdisciplinary team to develop and support student goals
- Participate in ongoing professional development
