You will have the opportunity to work either at one or two sites, depending on preference and experience, with caseloads that include Special Day Classes—ranging from middle school to post-secondary, as well as a Mild-Moderate program spanning grades TK to 5.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active and valid SLP certification/license in California
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
- Prior experience as a school-based SLP strongly preferred
- Knowledge of assessment, intervention, and progress monitoring techniques for diverse student populations
- Strong ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary educational teams and families
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Experience working with Special Day Classes and intensive/mild-mod student profiles is a plus
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language services to students identified with communication disorders
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and maintain accurate documentation
- Support students in Special Day Class settings as well as Mild-Moderate programs, focusing on both intensive and developing communication needs
- Collaborate with teachers, school psychologists, and additional staff to deliver comprehensive support
- Conduct assessments and participate in eligibility/IEP meetings
- Serve as a resource to families, educators, and administrators regarding speech and language development
