School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Signal Mountain, Tennessee
Step into a rewarding school-based contract opportunity providing Speech-Language Pathology services in the Chattanooga area beginning this August! This full-time assignment runs from August 5, 2026, through May 19, 2027, with upcoming finalized caseload and age group details. Traditionally, assignments have focused on supporting elementary-aged students, allowing you the chance to make an early and lasting impact on children’s communication and academic success.
If you’re an enthusiastic, compassionate SLP with a desire to contribute meaningfully as part of a talented educational team, this role is made for you. Contracts span a full 35 hours per week, with assignment to one or more schools in the district—details will be shared as they are finalized for the school year. Qualifications & Experience Sought:
- Valid, active Speech-Language Pathologist license
- Current DOE certification as a SLP
- Previous experience in a school setting strongly preferred
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
- Willingness to complete time-sensitive fingerprint/background requirements
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative SLP services per IEPs
- Conduct evaluations, re-evaluations, and ongoing assessments
- Collaborate with general and special education staff and families
- Maintain documentation and progress reports in compliance with district/state policy
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to a positive school environment
