Your assignment runs from early August through mid-May and offers a full-time schedule of 35 hours per week. As part of a contract position serving one or more schools (final assignments to be determined), you’ll collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to help students thrive. This is an excellent opportunity to bring your expertise where it is most needed.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license
- Active Department of Education certification for SLP in Tennessee
- Experience supporting school-age children, ideally in an educational setting
- Strong assessment, intervention, and documentation skills
- Ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and families
- Commitment to meeting required fingerprinting and background checks promptly
What You’ll Do:
- Deliver speech-language therapy services to elementary-aged students, addressing a range of communication needs
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to support student learning
- Engage with parents and caregivers to provide updates and strategies for communication development
- Maintain compliance with all school and state requirements for documentation and reporting
