Make a real difference in students’ lives as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist in the Chattanooga area! This yearlong, full-time opportunity supports schools as part of a dynamic district and focuses on helping children achieve their communication and learning goals. The role primarily serves elementary-aged students, with specific caseload details shared upon assignment.
You’ll work 35 hours per week, starting August 5, 2026, through May 19, 2027, and will be placed in one or more schools based on assignment needs. This position is ideal for SLP professionals with a passion for fostering growth and advocacy in a school-based environment.
Qualifications Needed:
- Active Speech-Language Pathology license
- Active DOE certification as an SLP
- School-based experience preferred
- Ability to complete required fingerprinting and all time-sensitive credentialing
- Flexibility to support a varied caseload and school assignments
Your Role Will Include:
- Delivering direct speech/language therapy to students
- Developing and implementing effective IEP-driven therapy plans
- Collaborating with teachers, administrators, and families to optimize student outcomes
- Maintaining thorough documentation aligned with district and legal standards
- Participating in eligibility and review meetings as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Adapting interventions to meet students’ diverse learning needs
