Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active state SLP license and valid DOE Certification as an SLP
- Experience in school-based or pediatric settings is highly valued
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Ability to complete required fingerprinting prior to assignment
- Commitment to inclusive, empathetic practice for diverse student populations
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide therapy for speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and school teams to support students’ IEP goals
- Maintain comprehensive, accurate documentation and progress notes
- Participate in IEP meetings, staff conferences, and other team-based collaboration
- Adjust caseload management based on assignment—exact age group and school site details currently being finalized (with a traditional focus on elementary)
- Advocate for students’ communication needs within the school setting
