Speech Language Pathologist in Seale, AL
Step into an impactful contract opportunity supporting elementary students in a vibrant educational setting. This position offers one full-time and one part-time opening, with the chance to contribute to students’ speech and language success from kindergarten through fifth grade during the upcoming academic year.
As a valued Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA), you’ll collaborate with school staff to develop and implement therapy plans, assess student needs, and foster communication skills crucial for academic and social growth. Your site assignment will be dedicated—meaning you’ll be able to engage with the same community of students and educators throughout your tenure.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid state license/certification as an SLP or SLPA
- School-based experience strongly preferred, but not required
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills
- Commitment to supporting students at varying levels of need
Responsibilities:
- Conduct screenings and assessments to identify communication disorders
- Develop and deliver therapy sessions tailored to K-5 students
- Maintain accurate records, IEP documentation, and progress reports
- Consult with teachers and parents regarding student progress and strategies
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate on educational plans
- Provide sessions during regular school hours (Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.)
