As a valued Speech-Language Pathologist, you’ll spend each week helping children reach their highest potential—three days based in Tunkhannock and two days in Wilkes-Barre. The position begins as soon as possible and extends through January.
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid SLP licensure for Pennsylvania schools or eligibility to obtain
- Recent experience in educational or pediatric settings preferred
- Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills
- Collaborative mindset with educators, support staff, and families
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify students’ speech, language, and communication needs
- Develop, implement, and regularly update Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Provide direct and consultative therapy services to students
- Document progress, maintain records, and participate in multidisciplinary meetings
- Travel between two school locations weekly to serve different student populations
- Act as a resource for teachers and families, providing insights and strategies to promote student achievement
