Key qualifications and experience:
- Active Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) is required
- Experience in school-based SLP settings, especially PK-6th, is highly valued
- Comfort providing both in-person and virtual speech services
- Interest in or prior experience with supervising speech-language pathology assistants (SLPAs) is preferred, but not required
- Ability to manage a caseload that includes four self-contained classrooms
- Strong teamwork, organizational, and communication skills
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting speech-language evaluations in-person on an as-needed basis, generally averaging one day per week
- Providing individualized therapy and intervention to PK-6th students
- Collaborating with teachers, staff, and families for student planning and support
- Supervising and supporting two SLPAs, with caseload split for efficient coverage and mentorship
- Maintaining proper documentation and participating in IEP meetings as needed
