Speech Language Pathologist in Phoenix, AZ
Step into a rewarding position supporting students from PK through 6th grade as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist. In this dynamic role near Phoenix, you’ll work with four self-contained classrooms and have the opportunity to mentor two SLPAs, sharing and splitting the caseload for comprehensive support. This full-time opportunity offers a blended schedule: on average, expect one day per week on-site to conduct evaluations, though this may vary based on school needs. Candidates who are local and can perform in-person assessments are strongly preferred, but fully virtual arrangements will also be considered.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Experience with school-aged children, preferably within PK-6th grade
- Previous supervisory experience is a plus, but not required
- Eligibility for state licensure as an SLP
- Flexible and adaptable to shifting in-person needs
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments, mainly in person as needs arise
- Deliver direct therapy services to a diverse caseload spanning four self-contained classrooms
- Collaborate with educators and families to support student progress
- Supervise and mentor two SLPAs, ensuring best practices and high-quality service
- Complete required documentation accurately and efficiently
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student planning
