Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current ASHA Certification (CCC-SLP) or eligibility as a Clinical Fellow (CFY)
- Valid or eligible for relevant state licensure/certification to practice in schools
- Experience (or strong interest) working with high school students in a school-based setting
- Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Ability to design, implement, and monitor IEPs for students with speech and language needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language therapy tailored to high school students' needs
- Conduct screenings, evaluations, and progress reports in compliance with regulatory guidelines
- Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) in partnership with parents, educators, and other specialists
- Deliver both direct and consultative services, adapting interventions for diverse learners
- Serve as a resource for faculty and families on speech, language, and communication strategies
- Maintain thorough records and ensure documentation is completed accurately and promptly
