Step into a dynamic educational environment, supporting diverse students as a Speech-Language Pathologist. This contract opportunity spans the 2026–2027 school year, serving both elementary and middle school learners (K–8) in an engaging hybrid setting. While on-site attendance is preferred, hybrid arrangements allow for a minimum of two days per week on campus—critical for direct collaboration with SLPA staff, campus administrators, and evaluating student needs.
You’ll oversee a caseload of approximately 110 students, primarily providing supervision, case management, and evaluations, while the assigned SLP-A delivers direct therapy. Establish meaningful professional relationships within the school community and guide the clinical growth of support staff. Full-time hours are required, typically 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, with some flexibility if needed to match student schedules.
What you’ll need to succeed:
- Current Texas SLP license (provide image prior to placement)
- ASHA Certificate (if Clinical Fellowship hours are complete)
- Experience working in school-based settings, ideally K–8
- Ability to supervise SLP-Assistants
- Strong communication skills, capable of building rapport with campus stakeholders
- Bilingual skills are a plus, but not required
- Ability to foster a collaborative and inclusive educational environment
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supervising SLP-A staff and reviewing student progress
- Conducting evaluations and maintaining case management responsibilities
- Developing individualized education plans and supporting student communication goals
- Building partnerships with teachers, administrators, and families
- Participating in campus-based meetings and supporting compliance with state standards
