Step into an impactful role supporting K-8 students as a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist, where building lasting relationships and supervising talented SLPA team members is at the core of your work. This contract position offers a blend of on-site collaboration and flexibility, allowing for meaningful engagement with both campus administrators and your students.
You’ll enjoy a hybrid work arrangement—beginning with three days on campus each week and transitioning to two as you establish strong ties within the school community. The role spans two vibrant campuses, serving a diverse caseload of approximately 110 students. You’ll provide supervision, evaluation, case management, and help shape therapeutic strategies while an assigned SLP-A delivers direct therapy.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Active Speech Language Pathology license issued by Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation
- ASHA certification (if clinical hours are complete)
- Previous school-based SLP experience, with comfort supervising SLP-As
- Strong interpersonal skills—bilingual abilities highly valued
- Ability to manage a busy caseload and coordinate evaluations independently
- Willingness to be on-site at least two days per week after initial rapport-building
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and collaborate with an assigned SLP-A across elementary and middle school settings
- Conduct speech and language evaluations, case manage, and develop student care plans
- Build relationships with school administrators and team members to support student progress
- Maintain thorough and compliant documentation
- Support therapy delivery to K-8 students, both directly and through oversight
