School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - Petersburg, Texas
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting young learners with a range of speech and language needs on an elementary campus. This role runs from August 19, 2026, through May 14, 2027, offering a chance to make a tangible difference for early childhood special education through first-grade students. With a caseload of 35-40 students, your expertise will have meaningful impact in areas like articulation, language, and pragmatic skills—no AAC needs are required. Both certified SLPs and strong SLPAs will be considered, and the team is open to clinical fellows and travelers as well.
Enjoy a structured schedule, working 37.5 hours per week (full-time, Monday through Friday), all in a supportive school environment. This position provides the opportunity to supervise one SLPA if desired. Bilingual skills are not required, but all motivated professionals with solid school-based experience are encouraged to apply.
Qualifications:
- Active TX Speech-Language Pathologist License (SLP or eligible SLPA)
- Experience with school-age children, preferably ECSE through 1st grade
- Ability to provide services addressing articulation, language, and pragmatics
- Comfortable managing a caseload of 35-40 students
- Willingness to supervise one SLPA (if SLP-CCC credentials)
- Open to clinical fellows (CFs) and travel professionals
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative speech therapy services to assigned students
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families regarding student progress
- Maintain all required documentation and progress reports
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and comply with state regulations
