Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Abernathy, TX

An exciting contract opportunity is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to work in a school setting with a campus serving ECSE 3 through 1st grade students, located near Abernathy, TX. This position is ideal for professionals passionate about supporting young learners as they build communication skills. The role covers a broad range of needs including articulation, language development, and pragmatic skills—AAC expertise is not required.
Assignment Details:
- Contract duration from August 19, 2026, to May 14, 2027
- Work schedule: 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday
- Caseload of approximately 35-40 students
- Serve early childhood through primary grades, providing direct therapy and support according to individualized education plans
Required Qualifications:
- Active Texas SLP License
- Experience in a school environment preferred
- Open to Clinical Fellows (CFs), seasoned professionals, and strong SLPAs (supervision of one SLPA possible)
- Bilingual skills are not necessary
- Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy to students with varying needs in articulation, language, and social communication
- Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to develop and implement effective IEPs
- Regularly assess progress and maintain accurate documentation in alignment with school policies
- Serve as a resource to staff and families, maintaining ongoing communication regarding student growth
Compensation for this role ranges from $45-$50 per hour, with weekly pay and a total of 37.5 hours scheduled each week.
