Speech Pathology - Schertz, TX
Step into an impactful role supporting K-12 students as a Speech-Language Pathologist in vibrant school settings. This on-site, contract opportunity begins August 12, 2026, and continues through May 26, 2027, offering a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week. You’ll cover two distinct campuses—one middle school and one private school assignment. Experience with proportionate share or private placements is an asset, and SLPs with their CCC or seasoned CFYs (with provided supervision) are encouraged to apply. Both bilingual and monolingual clinicians are welcome.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive speech and language therapy for a diverse K-12 caseload (typically 80-100 students) with support from an SLPA
- Handle intake evaluations and proportionate share service in private school settings
- Collaborate closely with school staff, administrators, and families to develop and implement IEPs
- Maintain thorough documentation and timely progress reports
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and provide professional input for student success
- Adapt therapy plans to address varying student needs
- Support overflow caseloads as needed across both school environments
Desired Qualifications:
- Current Speech-Language Pathologist license from the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or eligible if supervised CFY with documented hours
- Previous experience in a school environment is highly valued
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Ability to work effectively with both K-12 general ed and students receiving proportionate share services
- Private school or proportionate share experience preferred, but not required
