School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Sarasota, Florida
Step into a dynamic contract opportunity supporting students across two vibrant school campuses near Sarasota, FL. Our organization is seeking two passionate Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to provide therapeutic services to a diverse range of learners within a collaborative and supportive educational environment. You'll work closely alongside other experienced professionals, empowering students to find their voice and succeed.
Both Buffalo Creek Middle School and Prine Elementary offer rewarding caseloads, including direct therapy for approximately 50 students and consultative services for additional students at Buffalo Creek. At Prine Elementary, you'll join an established SLP and a talented SLPA, serving a combined caseload of close to 95 students in varied programs: Intensive PK, ASD, Integrated PK, ESE PK, and low cognitive classes. Qualifications:
- Active Florida SLP license required
- Experience in school-based settings preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Commitment to evidence-based therapy practices
- Ability to manage varied caseloads (Pre-K through middle school)
- Flexibility to adapt to the needs of multiple programs and student populations
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for eligible students
- Deliver direct and consultative speech-language therapy services
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation aligned with state and district requirements
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and school staff to support student progress
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to a positive school culture
This is a full-time contract position (35 hours per week) running through May 27, 2027, offering the chance to build lasting relationships while making a tangible impact.
