Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in California
- Comfortable working with diverse student populations across various age groups
- Proficient in conducting speech-language assessments, developing treatment plans, and delivering effective, individualized therapy
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to work closely with educators, staff, and families
- Previous school-based SLP experience preferred but not required
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat a variety of speech, language, and communication challenges in students
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs
- Work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and families to support students’ academic and social-emotional growth
- Document progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
- Educate students, staff, and families about strategies to support communication skills in the school environment
