Requirements and Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current or eligible California SLP license
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred, though Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates are encouraged to apply
- Experience working with pediatric populations in school or educational environments
- Able to conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments for students
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
- Ability to adapt to varying student needs and individualized education plans (IEPs)
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and identify students with speech and language impairments
- Develop and implement appropriate therapy interventions and individualized plans
- Provide direct therapy services to students, both individually and in small groups
- Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, special educators, and families to promote student success
- Participate in multidisciplinary and IEP team meetings
- Maintain accurate and timely records of assessments, progress, and communication with families
- Stay current on best practices and evidence-based approaches within school-based speech-language pathology
