In this full-time, on-site role, you’ll work 35 hours each week within a supportive school environment dedicated to helping children develop crucial speech and language skills.
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Valid California Speech-Language Pathology license or eligibility (SLP-CCC or CFY welcome)
- Previous experience in school settings or with pediatric populations preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and educators
- Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Passion for providing direct, in-person therapy; teletherapy is not available for this position
- SLPA supervision is not required at this time
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments, develop IEP goals, and provide engaging, individualized therapy to elementary and preschool caseloads
- Maintain thorough student records and document progress aligned with district or state guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings, consult regularly with educational staff, and offer support to families as needed
- Create and implement creative activities tailored to each child’s needs to facilitate communication growth
- Collaborate with a dedicated interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal student outcomes
