School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | San Marcos, Texas
Imagine making a difference supporting students as a key member of a multidisciplinary team. Two contract opportunities are available for experienced Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs) to work onsite for the full academic year, serving a vibrant student population from preschool through high school and beyond.
You’ll collaborate closely with faculty and families, providing essential speech and language services that foster academic success and personal growth. Caseloads average about 60 students per SLP. Assignments will be tailored to match grade level and campus preferences or areas of expertise, offering variety and the chance to focus on what you do best.
Key qualifications and desired experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid SLP license and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required
- Prior experience in school settings, with knowledge of PK-12 student needs
- Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills
- Ability to manage a moderate caseload efficiently across 1-2 assigned campuses
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and individualized support
Primary responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and deliver direct speech and language therapy to PK-12 students
- Write and implement individualized education plans (IEPs), monitor progress, and document outcomes
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to promote student inclusion and carryover of skills
- Provide guidance on communication supports, augmentative communication, and classroom strategies
- Attend IEP meetings and contribute as an integral team member
- Travel to 1-2 campuses as assigned based on strengths and schedule
This contract role runs from August to May, offering a fulfilling professional schedule with holidays and summer breaks. Onsite support only—no virtual roles available.
