Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
- Current and valid SLP-CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) from ASHA
- State licensure (or eligibility) for practicing as an SLP in California
- Previous experience within school settings is preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP development, documentation, and team collaboration
- Clear communication, adaptability, and problem-solving skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess and diagnose speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in school-aged children
- Develop, implement, and monitor effective treatment plans in alignment with IEP goals
- Deliver therapy services individually and in group settings
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and other specialists to ensure student success
- Maintain accurate records and progress notes, fulfilling all legal and administrative requirements
- Provide consultation and support to school staff and parents regarding communication strategies and resources
- Participate in IEP meetings, offering expertise and advocacy for student needs
