This contract position begins as soon as possible and extends through the end of the current school year. Collaborate with a dedicated team to assess, diagnose, and treat students’ communication needs, helping them unlock their full educational potential. The assignment offers a regular schedule—37.5 hours per week, over five days—serving a diverse student population.
Qualifications:
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license in California
- Experience providing speech-language services in school settings is preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively with students, families, teachers, and multidisciplinary teams
- Passion for empowering students and supporting their academic and social growth
What You’ll Do:
- Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in K-12 students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's needs
- Deliver direct and indirect therapy services according to IEP requirements
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress and communications
- Participate in IEP meetings and consult with educators and families regarding student needs and strategies
- Provide resources and support within the school community to foster communication success
