This contract role offers the chance to work in a rural environment, focusing on students from Transitional Kindergarten through 8th grade, or engaging younger learners ages 3-5 at a dedicated preschool site. With three openings available, your expertise will enhance a collaborative SPED Department alongside fellow SLPs and an SLPA. This assignment is set for the 26/27 school year, with the possibility of extending into the ESY period. The position offers $60-$70 per hour, providing competitive compensation for your specialized skills.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology and current licensure
- Previous school-based SLP experience preferred
- Ability to manage a caseload of 35-45 students effectively
- Bilingual skills are highly desirable to support a diverse student population
- Strong communication and organizational abilities
- Commitment to collaborative, student-centered service delivery
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans in alignment with student IEPs
- Provide direct therapy to students on your caseload, adapting strategies to diverse learning needs
- Monitor progress and document results to ensure goals are met
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, families, and other support staff
- Contribute to the multidisciplinary SPED team and participate in IEP meetings
- Travel to designated rural school sites, or work onsite at the preschool, as assigned
