Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist in San Jose, CA
Step into a fulfilling role as a Speech Language Pathologist, where your expertise will positively impact students from preschool through post-secondary levels. This contract opportunity spans from June 15th to July 16th, offering a manageable 20-hour workweek (5 hours daily, four days a week). You'll work closely with a diverse caseload of approximately 60 students, developing and implementing personalized treatment plans that foster communication and growth.
Ideal candidates will possess:
- Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology
- Valid SLP license in California
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- Experience with pediatric and school-based populations preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- Ability to adapt quickly and manage a diverse caseload across multiple age groups
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide direct therapy and intervention to students with a variety of communication disorders
- Assess, diagnose, and document speech, language, and communication needs
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and interdisciplinary teams to support student progress
- Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and maintain thorough records in compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Offer support and guidance to students transitioning between educational levels
- Participate in team meetings and case conferences as needed
