Speech Language Pathologist in San Bernardino, CA
Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity providing speech-language pathology services to students across both middle school and high school settings. This role serves an average caseload of 55 students with mild to moderate needs, offering an impactful environment to support student growth and communication skills. You'll be working across two campuses and collaborating with school staff, families, and a supportive SLPA present at each site on selected days.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Current, valid Speech-Language Pathology license in California
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA required
- Experience serving middle and high school student populations preferred
- Ability to manage a caseload effectively and adapt services for individuals with a range of needs
- Collaborative mindset for working alongside educators and families
- Strong organizational and communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language assessments, therapy, and intervention plans for students with IEPs
- Deliver services on campus to students at both middle and high school levels, adapting strategies to meet their specific developmental stages
- Document progress, maintain records, and participate in IEP meetings
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and assigned Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPA) to maximize student outcomes
- Communicate regularly with families and school staff regarding student progress and goals
This contract role spans 37 hours per week, ensuring you have ample face-to-face time with students while benefiting from SLPA support at both locations. The assignment focuses on making meaningful connections, using your expertise to foster communication, and helping students succeed in academic and social settings.
