Embark on a rewarding opportunity supporting student success as a contracted Speech Language Pathologist. This position is designed for an experienced professional ready to provide specialized Assistive Technology (AT) services at a high school level. Based in San Antonio, this contract begins as soon as possible and extends through May 26, 2027, with a manageable requirement of 2 hours per week.
This role centers around direct and indirect AT support for one high school student, working closely with their educational team. Direct services, including programming, calibration, and maintenance of an Accent eye gaze device, must be provided in person on campus. Your expertise will empower the student to engage fully in their academic environment while lending invaluable support to staff.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Texas SLP license issued by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA, with hours logged
- Demonstrated experience providing AT services within a school setting
- Proficiency with eye gaze devices, specifically the Accent device
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary educational teams and provide both direct service and consultation
- Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills
- References supporting relevant work experience
Role Responsibilities:
