A rewarding contract opportunity awaits for Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs) with experience in school-based settings. This hybrid position supports K-8 students for the upcoming academic year, blending on-site collaboration and the convenience of some remote flexibility. Work alongside a dedicated SLPA and help build strong relationships with administrative teams, all while ensuring high-quality therapy and student outcomes.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Texas SLP license required (from Texas Dept. of Licensing and Regulation)
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC), if applicable
- Experience in school settings strongly preferred
- Ability to supervise and mentor an SLPA
- Strong communication skills for bilingual or monolingual SLPs
- Must provide references and necessary documentation before placement
Role Responsibilities:
- Oversee and supervise therapy provided by an SLPA, focusing on effective delivery and student progress
- Case manage and evaluate student needs, with a caseload of approximately 110 K-8 students
- Complete speech and language testing and thorough documentation
- Spend a minimum of two days per week on campus, increasing in-person presence as needed at the start of the assignment
- Collaborate closely with campus administrators and build lasting relationships to support student services
- Maintain flexible availability during school hours (7:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m.; 8 paid hours per day and a 30-minute unpaid lunch)
- Ensure all credentialing is up to date prior to assignment, including Texas SLP license and references
