What We’re Looking For:
- Active Mississippi SLP license required
- Prior experience in a school setting preferred, though not mandatory
- Solid understanding of diverse speech-language challenges for students in PreK-12th grade
- Strong communication and collaborative skills when working with multidisciplinary teams
- Commitment to maintaining student confidentiality and district compliance standards
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students aged Pre-K–12
- Develop individualized education plans (IEPs), set achievable goals, and document progress
- Conduct evaluations, assessments, and screenings as needed
- Partner with teachers, support staff, and families to create an effective learning environment
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute professional insights
- Adapt therapy methodologies to address the distinct needs of each student
- Manage a caseload of students, balancing paperwork and therapy time efficiently
Role Details:
- Two contract positions available for the upcoming academic year
- 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday
- Interviewing in June, with additional information provided during the interview process
