Pediatric School Speech Pathology | Saint Peter, Minnesota
Make an impact supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a contract position focused on pediatric and school-based services. Both Clinical Fellows and experienced professionals are welcome, as well as those with teletherapy backgrounds or SLPA experience.
Required Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
- Current or pending ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or eligibility as a Clinical Fellow (CFY)
- State licensure (or ability to obtain) for school-based practice
- Previous experience working with pediatric or school-age populations preferred
- Adaptability to both in-person and teletherapy service delivery models
- Strong collaboration skills with teachers, support staff, and families
- SLPA background or experience in both educational and healthcare settings is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations, develop individualized education plans (IEPs), and deliver speech and language therapy for students
- Participate in multi-disciplinary meetings, contributing insight on student speech and language needs
- Document progress, maintain compliance with state and federal requirements, and communicate with educators and families
- Utilize technology and teletherapy tools as needed to meet the needs of students in varied settings
- Mentor and support Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) when appropriate
- Engage in ongoing professional development to maintain best practices
