Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Minnesota Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) State Licensure
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
- Possess an educator credential at Professional License Level 2, 3, or 4, as outlined by state regulations
- Previous experience in a school-based SLP setting preferred
- Skilled in assessment, documentation, goal setting, and implementing evidence-based interventions
- Effective at building rapport with students, staff, and families
- Strong organizational and communication abilities
- Ability to travel between school sites (itinerant role)
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy to students across a variety of grade levels
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized education program (IEP) goals
- Collaborate with teaching and support staff to integrate therapy strategies into the classroom
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for compliance and progress monitoring
- Participate in parent meetings, IEP teams, and multidisciplinary collaborations
- Stay current with best practices and continuing education in speech-language pathology
