Speech Language Pathologist in Saint Louis, MO
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity serving elementary and K-12 students in a dynamic educational setting near Saint Louis, MO. This position offers Speech-Language Pathologists the chance to impact students’ communication and learning journeys across multiple schools, with service needs coordinated for a variety of locations.
You’ll join a supportive team managing specialized education and related services across multiple sub-districts, working closely with educators committed to each student’s development. As a contract SLP, you can enjoy the structure and variety of working up to 37.5 hours per week during the academic year, starting in late August and concluding in late May.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Holds (or eligible for) a valid Missouri SLP license (CCC preferred, CF candidates with provisional MO SLP licenses welcome)
- Willingness to obtain required credentialing (fingerprints, drug screen)
- Ability to work collaboratively within interdisciplinary teams
- Comfortable managing IEP caseloads calculated by service minutes (not headcount), typically ranging from 3200–3400 service minutes
- Supervision available for CFs, with an on-site CCC available for mentoring
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language services primarily to elementary students (other K-12 openings possible)
- Assess, diagnose, and implement speech and language interventions per student IEPs
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and school teams to support communication goals
- Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to IEP meetings
- Flexibly serve different school sites as needed per assignment
