Step into an impactful role as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist, supporting middle school students during a maternity leave coverage. In this rewarding position, you'll work on campus, providing essential services that help students develop their communication skills and thrive academically and socially. This is a contract assignment running from August 17, 2026, through November 12, 2026. No teletherapy assignments are included at this time; all work will be conducted in person.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an SLP
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Prior experience in a school setting, especially with middle school-aged students
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and families
- Committed to fostering an inclusive, supportive learning environment
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative speech-language therapy to middle school students
- Conduct assessments and develop tailored intervention plans
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records
- Collaborate with educational staff to integrate speech-language goals into classroom activities
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of student goals
- Provide guidance and support to families regarding intervention strategies
- Foster a positive, engaging atmosphere that encourages student participation
