Position: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
Location: St. Johns County, Florida
Assignment Dates: August 4, 2026 – June 1, 2027
Schedule: Full-time, five days per week, on-site
Opportunity Overview
A school district in St. Johns County, Florida is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist to support an elementary student population during the 2026–2027 school year.
Both experienced clinicians with their ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence and Clinical Fellowship candidates are encouraged to apply. The district may offer continued employment to a clinician who proves to be a strong professional fit.

Required Qualifications
• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Sciences and Disorders, or a related field
• Active Florida Speech-Language Pathology license or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship licensure
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence for experienced SLP candidates
• Clinical Fellowship candidates are welcome to apply
• Previous pediatric or school-based experience preferred
• Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
Essential Duties
• Conduct speech and language evaluations, assessments, and screenings
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and measurable IEP goals
• Provide direct and consultative speech-language therapy services
• Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed
• Collaborate with teachers, families, administrators, and multidisciplinary teams
• Participate in IEP, eligibility, and student-support meetings
• Maintain accurate service records and required documentation
• Follow federal, state, and district special education procedures
Screening & Credentialing Requirements
• Successful completion of all district onboarding requirements
• Background check and fingerprint clearance as required by Florida and the district
• Verification of professional licensure, certification, or Clinical Fellowship eligibility
• Internal eligibility interview
