Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Roscoe, IL
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting elementary students as a Speech-Language Pathologist. This full-time role offers a consistent 37.5 hours per week, allowing you to focus your passion and expertise while working closely with both resource and general education classrooms.
In this role, you’ll work with a diverse caseload of approximately 35 students at one elementary school. Your experience with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices will be a valued asset, as you help students overcome communication challenges and reach their full potential within the classroom environment.
Ideal candidates bring the following qualifications:
- Active Illinois license as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Professional Educator License (PEL) active or eligibility to obtain
- CCC-SLP or CFY (Clinical Fellowship Year) will be considered
- Previous experience in a school environment preferred
- Comfort with both resource and general education settings
- AAC device experience is highly preferred
Your daily responsibilities will include:
- Providing speech and language therapy to elementary-aged students
- Conducting assessments, writing reports, and maintaining documentation
- Collaborating with classroom teachers, special education staff, and families for integrated support
- Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans
- Training and recommending use of AAC devices when appropriate
