Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Illinois licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)
- Professional Educator License (PEL) for Illinois or eligibility to obtain
- Experience or strong interest in school-based speech therapy
- Ability to support students using AAC devices (preferred)
- Open to both Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) candidates
- Enthusiasm for collaborating with educators and supporting diverse student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language assessment, intervention, and support for approximately 35 students
- Work collaboratively with teachers and staff in resource and general education classrooms
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in accordance with district and state guidelines
- Support students utilizing augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices
- Monitor student progress, maintain appropriate documentation, and communicate regularly with families
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive, inclusive learning environment
