School Speech Language Pathologist - Loves Park, Illinois

Key Qualifications:
- Possess an active Illinois license as a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)
- Hold (or be eligible to obtain) Professional Educator License (PEL) for Illinois
- Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) are welcome
- Experience in school-based settings, with a background in elementary education preferred
- Proficiency with or willingness to learn about Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices
- Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based speech and language services to students in both resource and general education classrooms
- Conduct assessments, develop IEP goals, and maintain accurate records in compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Provide direct and consultative services, adapting interventions to student-specific needs and abilities
- Implement and support AAC device use for students requiring augmentative communication support
- Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to maximize student progress and inclusivity
- Engage in regular meetings to review progress, share strategies, and support school-wide initiatives
