Pediatric School Speech and Language Pathologist | New Port Richey, Florida
Step into a rewarding contract position providing speech-language pathology services to a small student group. In this role, you’ll work closely with seven students in an educational setting, delivering expert care and support two days a week for approximately 2.5 hours each day. Qualifications & Skills:
- Active Speech-Language Pathology license (SLP-CCC or SLP-CFY accepted)
- Experience with school-based and/or pediatric caseloads
- Proficiency in teletherapy sessions is a plus
- Background in healthcare settings related to speech-language pathology
- Strong communication and collaborative skills for engaging with students, educators, and families
- Organized and reliable, able to manage caseload documentation and progress monitoring
- Commitment to ethical standards and ongoing professional development
Responsibilities:
- Provide targeted speech-language therapy to a caseload of 7 students
- Conduct assessments, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff to support student goals
- Maintain accurate records of sessions, progress, and communication
- Deliver services either in-person or via teletherapy, as appropriate
- Participate in IEP meetings and interdisciplinary team discussions as needed
- Stay current on best practices in school-based speech-language pathology
