Step into an impactful contract opportunity serving early childhood and special education students in a supportive school environment near Bradenton, FL. Two full-time speech-language pathologists are sought to provide onsite services at Sea Breeze Elementary and Abel Elementary. This assignment is available immediately and will run through late May 2026. You'll engage with diverse caseloads, primarily working with Pre-K students in ESE, intensive ESE, ASD, and integrated PK classrooms, making a significant difference in their communication and academic development.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Active Florida SLP License (Master’s degree preferred; bachelor’s considered for exceptional candidates)
- Accepting candidates with Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY); SLPAs are not being considered for this role
- Previous school-based or pediatric speech-language pathology experience is highly valued
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to partner with educators and families
- Ability to develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy to assigned students in ESE PK, intensive ESE PK, ASD units, and integrated PK settings
- Conduct assessments, documentation, and progress monitoring in line with district standards
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop intervention strategies
- Communicate proactively with teachers, support staff, and families to support student progress
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the overall learning environment
