This contract role offers a consistent 35-hour workweek, allowing you to build strong relationships with students and staff.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Licensed or eligible for SLP licensure in the state
- Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred
- Confidence working with diverse student populations and communication needs
- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with teachers, parents, and other specialists
- Ability to document progress and manage caseload efficiently
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive speech and language therapy services to students onsite
- Assess and identify communication disorders through observation, testing, and data analysis
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on IEP goals and student needs
- Provide direct therapy individually and in small groups
- Maintain clear and timely documentation of student progress and session notes
- Communicate regularly with families and interdisciplinary team members
- Contribute to IEP meetings and collaborate on student support plans
