Essential Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Current New Mexico License in Speech-Language Pathology from the New Mexico Speech Language Pathology and Audiology Board
- New Mexico License issued by the Public Education Department Ancillary and Support Services
- Ability to work effectively with elementary and middle school-aged children
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans based on student needs and IEP requirements
- Deliver targeted therapy to students with a variety of speech, language, and communication disorders
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to support student progress and classroom success
- Maintain accurate documentation and participate in IEP and multidisciplinary team meetings
- Provide support, education, and ongoing guidance to classroom staff and caregivers
- Monitor and adjust interventions as needed to ensure student goals are being met
