Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Valid licensure as an SLP within the state (or eligibility to obtain)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA preferred, though Clinical Fellows are encouraged to apply
- Previous school-based or pediatric experience highly valued
- Strong interpersonal skills, adaptability, and a collaborative approach with staff, students, and families
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments for students
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs
- Deliver direct and consultative therapy services to students, both individually and in small groups
- Monitor student progress, maintain detailed documentation, and participate in regular IEP meetings
- Serve as a resource for teachers and school staff to promote inclusive communication strategies
- Collaborate with families to provide guidance and foster continued progress beyond the classroom
