Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Appropriate state licensure and certification to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist in an educational setting (or eligibility to obtain)
- Experience working with school-aged children, including assessing and treating a range of communication disorders
- Strong knowledge of IEP processes and IDEA regulations
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Collaborative attitude with a passion for working alongside teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
Responsibilities:
- Conduct screenings, comprehensive evaluations, and develop individualized treatment plans for students with speech and language needs
- Deliver direct and indirect therapy services in accordance with students’ IEPs, either individually or in small groups
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing valuable insights and recommendations for student success
- Maintain accurate records, documenting progress and maintaining compliance with school and state guidelines
- Consult with educators and families to support generalization of skills in the classroom and at home
- Stay current with best practices and continuing education relevant to school-based speech-language pathology
