School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - Richmond, Texas
Enhance the learning environment for students by providing specialized speech and language services as part of a supportive school team. This contract opportunity, located near Richmond, TX, focuses on serving multiple elementary campuses that already have a dedicated SLP in place. However, with a high caseload, your expertise and support are needed to ensure every student receives high-quality attention.
Ideal candidates will hold either the SLP-CCC or CF credentials and possess a commitment to making a real difference in young learners’ educational journeys. You’ll work collaboratively with existing SLP staff, teachers, and administration to deliver assessments, interventions, and ongoing communication with families.
Desired Qualifications:
- Eligible for or holds Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) or Clinical Fellowship (CF)
- Experience supporting school-aged children, particularly in elementary settings; new graduates with school-based practicum also considered
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a collaborative team
- Effective communicator, able to document and share progress with teachers, parents, and the school community
- Adaptable and organized, capable of managing a diverse caseload across multiple campuses
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based speech and language services to students from a varied caseload
- Administer assessments, develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), and document student progress
- Work closely with teachers, other therapists, and school staff to create inclusive learning environments
- Communicate regularly with families to involve them in the therapeutic process
- Participate in school meetings and professional development as needed
