Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist in Lancaster, PA
Make an impact supporting students’ communication needs as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in a collaborative educational setting. This full-time contract opportunity covers the 2026-27 or 2027-28 school years, with the potential for continued service thereafter. You’ll work within a caring team that values expertise across multiple grade levels, primarily K-6, with some coverage of intermediate, middle, and high school populations. The role is based on-site with the flexibility of up to one day per week via teletherapy (Zoom).
Essential qualifications:
- Current Pennsylvania SLP license and certification required
- Experience in schools and billing Medical Assistance (MA) is essential
- CCC-SLP preferred; strong Clinical Fellows (CFYs) with relevant pediatric, healthcare, and educational experience considered
- Proficiency working with K-12 populations, especially elementary (K-6)
- Skilled in assessments/evaluations, therapy planning, and caseload management
- Comfortable using school-based systems; training provided for Sapphire IEP platform
Key responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language services and evaluations in alignment with students’ IEPs
- Manage a caseload of approximately 35 students per SLP, primarily elementary age
- Deliver therapy across three elementary schools, an intermediate school, middle, and high school, with occasional out-of-district support
- Collaborate closely with fellow SLPs, intervention teams, teachers, and families
- Maintain documentation and participate in eligibility meetings and IEP conferences
- Utilize provided school-issued technology for service delivery and recordkeeping
