Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
- Valid CA SLP license or eligibility to obtain before start date
- Prior experience working with school-aged children, preferably K-8
- Comfort working with students enrolled in specialized behavioral support programs
- Strong collaboration, documentation, and communication abilities
- Creative, patient, and motivated to support diverse learning needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to K-8 students in special education
- Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Work closely with teachers, behavioral specialists, and families to align support strategies
- Monitor and document student progress, maintaining compliance with IEP goals and requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary planning
- Adapt therapy approaches to meet behavioral and emotional needs of students
